Strictly Janette Manrara has spoken candidly about her recovery from the C-section three weeks after giving birth.
The professional dancer, 39, welcomed her first daughter, Lyra, along with her husband, fellow Strictly star Aljaž Škorjanec, in late July.
Janette shared a health update with her Instagram followers on Saturday, explaining that her post-surgery recovery is “going so well.”
She said: ‘Today it’s been 22 days since the surgery and I’ll be honest, I’ve been feeling so much more like myself especially in the past week. I can finally go down the stairs normally and sleep on my side so I sleep better and I also have help to take care of Lyra.
“The incision looks really good, I still feel a little bit of pain, of course I can’t do a lot of things, but the recovery is going so well.

“I think there was a moment where I thought: this is going to take forever, but luckily it isn’t and you just have to take it easy and day by day. Everyone’s recovery is completely different, but so far it’s going well and I’m feeling really good.’
She ended the clip by saying, “Just enjoying my love bubble with Lyra and being a mom.”
It comes two weeks after Janette shared sweet snaps from when her daughter Lyra Rose was born as she marked a week since the toddler’s birth.
She took to Instagram to upload images showing herself and husband Alijaz Skorjanec, 33, minutes after they welcomed their newborn into the world.
Newlywed mom Janette was spotted lying in bed in a hospital gown rocking her baby girl, and in the blink of an eye was seen gazing fondly at her fellow Strictly star husband.
While the second saw the loving couple tenderly plant a kiss on their baby’s head.
The couple married in 2017 and announced their pregnancy in February after trying to conceive for more than two years.
Since welcoming her first child, Janette has delighted fans by confirming that she will be returning to the spin-off show next month.

She previously hosted the show with co-host Rylan Clark, but he announced earlier this year that he would not be returning for the upcoming series.
She took to Instagram during a candid Q&A with her followers, responding to a fan who asked if she’d return to the hit BBC2 spin-off show.
Janette replied, “Yes, I’m back. I guess there was no big official announcement, but yes, I’m back.
“Fortunately, I had more than enough time on maternity leave with Lyra to come back and do the show.”
She continued, “So yeah, I’ll be sitting on the couch with Fleur East interviewing all of your couples and I can’t wait, actually. I literally can’t wait. It was such a great year last year, but I feel like every year is just as great.”
In June, it was confirmed that X Factor star Fleur would return to the ballroom after narrowly missing out on the glitterball trophy in last year’s series.
Following the announcement, Fleur shared her excitement, admitting she couldn’t quite believe it, but that she would have “big boots to fill.”
Fleur exclaimed, “I couldn’t believe it, I still can’t believe it. I was with my husband, I was out and I got a call from my agent.”
She continued, “She was doing all the pleasantries and a moment later was like, ‘You’ve got It Takes Two.'”
The singer admitted it was “the worst thing ever” to keep a secret, saying, “I was just trying to get it out of my head. With the social video, I tried to find the biggest boots I could find. With Rylan gone, I’ve got some big boots to fill.

Janette recently shared a sweet photo of her and her daughter as she celebrates being a mom for two weeks.
She captioned the post: “2 weeks of magic with you in my life today my little Lyra.”
Fans rushed to fawn over the newborn when someone wrote, “There’s no love like a mother’s love!” The cutest photo.
Strictly host Tess Daly also sent her regards when she said, “So precious,” as former Strictly contestant and fellow new mom Gemma Atkinson gushed over Lyra’s thick head of dark hair.
