Last week the pair impressed with a Charleston to Do Your Thing by Basement Jaxx, scoring 29 points out of 40.

Dazzling the audience and fans at home alike with their routine, the actor lifted his partner into the air, during the ‘soulful’ dance.

Anton Du Beke said it had “a great twist” and was “absolutely amazing”, but Craig noted that his expressions could have been “more exaggerated”.

One person shared their thoughts on Twitter: ‘Bobby really has soul when he dances and has such good energy. what a relief!’

Another added: ‘Wow, what a fantastic start! Great Charleston from Bobby and Dianne. I bet Bobby will be a finalist, if not the overall winner.”

‘Brilliant opening dance from Bobby. I love the Charleston,” a third agreed.

Someone else added, “We are HUGE fans of Bobby Brazier on #strictly. He’s just so guileless, positive and sweet – and such an elegant dancer. A ray of sunshine.’

One fan echoed, “Bobby Brazier is beyond adorable. What an absolute light of a man.”

This week Bobby was also praised for his hard-hitting scenes on EastEnders, after his character Freddie Slater attacked Theo Hawthorne.

In the nail-biting episode, Freddie and Stacey (Lacey Turner) devise a plan to get him out of trouble, with the help of Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).

In what echoes his mother Little Mo’s storyline, Freddie realized he was facing a prison sentence after violently hitting his former teacher with an iron.

But with the help of Eve and Stacey, who ran to Theo’s car and were shocked to discover her underwear in his glove compartment, an elaborate plan was devised to cover their tracks.

She discovered a key in the boot of her stalker’s car and weaponized it at the scene before calling the police and emergency services.

But after telling their stories to an officer, Freddie was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
