Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice kindly turned down a wild dig during an appearance on Saturday Kitchen.
The professional dancers joined presenter Matt Tebutt on the BBC Daytime Show to discuss their new series Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures in Sicily.
However, the pair came in for a cheeky jab from Matt when he, along with wine expert Ollie Smith, introduced Anton and Giovanni as “the second best bromance on TV”, while noting that they themselves were the best.
Matt said: ‘We have a rollercoaster of a show with this batch in the studio. Literally anything could happen, because this is Saturday Kitchen Live
“Our special guests today have delivered some of the most memorable Strictly moments ever, but they’ve traded the ballroom for Sicily, in the second best bromance on television. Please welcome Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice.”

At this, Anton, 56, and Giovanni, 32, confused, looked at each other in alarm and said: ‘Second best?’ while the audience cheered around him.
To which Matt replied, “Secondly, my friends,” while touching Ollie’s chest, with Ollie then adding, “What defines a bromance, is that the question?”
Clearly unimpressed at being ranked second best, Giovanni gestured to Matt and Ollie asking, “Is this the first?” to which they both replied, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.”
Defending their bromance, Anton cheekily remarked, “You can’t be second best unless you’ve seen them at their budgie smugglers.”
To which Matt said of the dancers: ‘we have’, while Anton confirmed: ‘We spend a lot of time together in Speedos.’
After laughing off Matt’s cheeky jab, the duo went on to talk in detail about their travel show, which first aired on March 21 as part of the cooking show.
Continuing to talk about his friendship with Giovanni, Anton shared: “The show is about our relationship, which is what it seemed to me.
‘I watched the first show the other night with Hannah, and I had a warm feeling about it. It was a beautiful show of us together.

Echoing the sentiment, his friend gushed: ‘There’s a lot of love. I absolutely love him to death.
