Strictly star Katya Jones flaunts her jaw-dropping figure in a TINY bikini as she soaks up the sun amid lavish Dubai getaway following show final

Strictly star Katya Jones showed off her stunning figure as she soaked up the sun during a luxury getaway in Dubai on Thursday after last week’s show finale.

The professional dancer, 35, looked stunning in a skimpy checked bikini with a Bardot neckline and ruffles as she relaxed poolside in chic White Beach.

Katya’s tiny two-piece left little to the imagination and she shielded her eyes behind mirror shades which she paired with dangling earrings.

She took to her Instagram Stories with photos and clips from her outing as she topped up her tan and walked around with friends.

The stunner took charge as they ate fresh fish and bragged about her time on Celebrity MasterChef before she was quickly reminded she was the first star to get the boot.

Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing final saw comedian Chris McCausland and his professional partner Dianne Buswell crowned 2024 champions after the comedian made history as the show’s first-ever blind contestant.

Katya was paired with BBC presenter Wynne Evans and left the competition weeks after they made headlines with their awkward ‘hand incident’.

Viewers saw the moment Katya removed Wynne’s hand from her waist and rebuffed his attempt at a high-five with her.

The pair made an emotional appearance on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, where Katya defended her famous partner, declaring that he has been ‘portrayed as someone he is not’, while the pair insist that his ‘wandering hand’ incident was a lame joke.

Meanwhile Wynne admitted that he had watched back the footage of the incident and admitted: ‘I understand how people misinterpreted it.’

While clinging to his arm, Katya said she “can’t bear” the fainting her co-star gets and was empathetic that there was no wrongdoing.

She said: ‘The idea that it made me feel uncomfortable or offended in any way is complete nonsense, and for those who doubt, you are wrong. Hopefully this is the end of it and you’ll continue to make me laugh.’

She added: “I can’t sit here and watch this man being portrayed as someone he’s not. In fact, it couldn’t be further from the truth.

“So I have to make it very clear that this whole incident, with the hand and the high five on Saturday night, was an inside joke between Wynne and me. Was it a lame joke? Yeah, was it a bad joke? Yes.’

In the final, Chris, 47, dispatched fellow finalists Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill and Sarah Hadland, with his cheeky humor and inspiring story helping to save the show after a year of scandal.

The highest-scoring final ever saw all the couples perform three dances each for the judges before presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced Chris as the winner of the coveted Glitterball trophy.

The funnyman burst into tears as he was hugged by his fellow celebrities before triumphantly throwing Dianne over his shoulder as the crowd went wild.

When asked by Tess and Claudia how the moment felt, Chris said: ‘It’s amazing, I don’t know what to say. I honestly thought I was going to date for the first week or two and I know no one went out the first week, but I still thought I could do it.

‘We just endured and endured and [Dianne] has gotten so much out of me and she deserves that [the trophy] so much,” as he then gushed over her “positivity” and “faith.”

He then joked, “Unless she changes her number, she’s stuck with me.” This is for [Dianne] and everyone out there, it just goes to show that with the opportunity and support, anything is possible!’.

Chris achieved his first perfect score of 40 points for a waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers, which was his final dance of the series and left the judges and viewers in tears.

His second routine was a mash-up of dance styles to New Radicals’ You Get What You Give and he recreated his viral ‘blackout’ moment for the first dance.

Chris and Dianne also danced to their own tune – Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon.

Earlier in the show, Chris said: “I hope so [me being on Strictly] will make a difference in people’s attitudes towards the blind and disabled.

‘When I started this, my daughter was very nervous, she is eleven, and I think she fed my fears and worries, but she enjoyed watching me and she is very proud.

“I’ve learned that I’m more resilient, I think it’s going to take a lot more to scare me in the future and something doesn’t have to be perfect to be a success.
