Strictly spoiler account admits they struggled to find a mole for results as bosses ‘crack down’ on leaks

The Strictly spoiler account has warned fans they were struggling to leak this week’s results, following stern action from the show’s producers.

Each week, an anonymous person provides the name of the eliminated couple when the results show is filmed on Saturday evening, before it is officially broadcast on Sunday’s results show.

However, the Strictly Spoiler account took to X – formerly known as Twitter – on Saturday to admit they were struggling to find a source to reveal the elimination news.

They wrote: ‘Strictly spoiler update. I don’t have a mole this week and other reliable sources seem to be struggling as well.

“But those of you involved in the pandemic will know that no moles do not equal no spoiler. It does mean it could be tomorrow morning.”

Scuppered: The Strictly spoiler account has warned fans they were struggling to leak this week’s results, after stern action from the show’s producers

Many were quick to comment, “Why is it this week that you don’t have any moles, weird.”

One second wondered: ‘Does this mean the BBC are closing in on their mole?!’

On Sunday morning, The Strictly Spoiler confirmed there were still issues finding the result, before it was finally shared around 1pm, just hours before the results show.

The leaks may happen because the results show on Sunday night is filmed immediately after the live show on Saturday and the audience, made up of family and friends of the contestants, plus the audience, has been sworn to secrecy and had their phones taken from them.

This week’s delayed leak came after it was reported earlier in the series that bosses were on a mission to find the culprit.

A source told the Ny Breaking in September: ‘Enough is enough, it’s not fair to the fans, they’re looking forward to tuning in to see who will dance together.

‘Procedures are now being put in place to see if the mole can be caught, although that is difficult as there are so many people involved in Strictly, but bosses are determined to catch him or her.’

Shock: Many fans reacted quickly when the spoiler account warned fans that they had difficulty leaking the information due to a lack of available moles and reliable sources

Outspoken: Strictly judge Anton Du Beke publicly called on the ‘mole’ last year to stop spoiling the show for the viewer

Strictly judge Anton Du Beke publicly called on the ‘mole’ last year to stop ruining the show for the viewer.

Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women, he said: ‘It’s getting on my nerves. Please stop. I don’t know who you are, but please stop. Do not do it. Why would you do it? Nobody knows who it is.’

He continued: “The audience, just like the people who go to see (Agatha Christie murder mystery play) The Mousetrap for example, which has been playing for years, we’re all in it together.

‘Knowledge is power and things like that. Everyone has an agreement that we won’t say anything, so I don’t know who will.’

The beloved Strictly judge then concluded: ‘They call you a spoiler for a reason – because you are a spoiler. Don’t do it… Please don’t try to screw it up because people don’t want to know.’
