After a year of scandal surrounding the BBC’s investigation into misconduct, the show was back with all the bells and whistles on Saturday night as loyal viewers tuned in.
There are 15 new celebrity couples set to hit the dance floor, with the pairings set to be revealed during the launch show when the series officially kicks off.
The Strictly series pulled out all the stops for a colourful, sparkling opening and the mood was high as presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcomed the new series.
Tess exclaimed, “This year we celebrate our 20th anniversary on your TV screens and if that opening is anything to go by, we’re in for quite an adventure.”
