Strictly fans are convinced they have ‘worked out’ which star will be eliminated as bookies say they’re on ‘borrowed time’

Strictly speaking, fans are convinced that they have ‘figured out’ who will be eliminated from the show this week.

Last week, Zara McDermott, 26, and her dance partner Graziano DiPrima, 29, were voted out by the judges after entering the dance competition for the third time.

They took on Adam Thomas, 35, and Luba Mushtuk, 33, and now, ahead of Saturday’s live show, viewers have voiced their predictions that the Waterloo Road star could be next as they prepare to tackle the notoriously tricky Dancing Rumba.

They will be dancing it to Calum Scott’s rendition of Dancing on My Own.

Bookmakers have also tipped Adam as favorite to be voted out on Sunday’s show on 8/11, while Angela Scanlon is on 9/2 to go, alongside Annabel Croft.

Ladbrokes’ Nicola McGeady said: ‘Adam Thomas is on borrowed time on Strictly Come Dancing as far as we’re concerned. We would be surprised if any more celebrities disappeared, but there is a good chance that he will compete against Angela Scanlon or Annabel Croft in the dance-off.’

Viewers wrote on Reddit: “They want Adam to be next, don’t they?” and ‘Rumba for Adam post a dance party? Yeah, it doesn’t look good.’

Adam also had to miss a rehearsal this week due to his health. He took to Instagram to share a selfie and wrote: ‘No dancing today’.

The actor has rheumatoid arthritis, which causes severe pain in his knees, which then spreads to his ankles, toes, wrists and fingers.

Adam appeared on It Takes Two earlier this week and opened up about his experiences during the dreaded dance-off.

He said: ‘I don’t know what it was, I was kind of preparing myself for it. I especially don’t know what the night was about, I just had a feeling it was going to be our night to be in the dance-off,” he said on the spin-off Strictly.

‘But nothing can prepare you for the dance competition. It was so intimidating and I was so nervous, but you have to keep thinking, ‘It’s just a dance show, go out there and do the same thing you did in the first dance.’

He added: “I get great responses from the judges week after week, like it’s great, but then it starts to play on you a little bit because you get great responses, you get great scores and you start thinking, ‘What do you do? Am I wrong?”

‘I can do so much more here.’

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC1 on Saturday at 7.05pm.
