The former Strictly Come Dancing pro, 33, could be preparing to become a campmate after suffering health problems when she welcomed her baby daughter last year
A source told the publication: ‘Oti is a brilliant name for I’m A Celebrity, she’s hugely popular and loved by the ITV audience so bosses are thrilled she could be a campmate this year.
‘She is regarded as one of the stars of ITV and she always provides a lot of fun.’
MailOnline has contacted ITV and Oti’s representative for comment.
Oti has been incredibly open about her traumatic birth after explaining how her Her daughter’s life was saved by the NHS after a terrible sepsis scare.
She told The sun on sunday: ‘It was helpful that someone asked me, “How are you feeling? How are you dealing with these new emotions?”
‘In my case, sepsis was not discovered until after delivery. It is not something that has been overlooked, so I want to make that clear. I misinterpreted it a while ago.
“My daughter had an infection when she came out and the doctors were treating her. I didn’t have time to panic, we were just focused on her recovery.”
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional explained that she always felt her daughter was in “safe hands” as doctors gave her the best possible treatment.
Oti added that the little one had to learn to eat and breathe on her own, but admitted she knows little about the neonatal unit. She claimed the team had done a “wonderful” job.
Oti and her husband Marius Lepure, 41, became parents in November to their baby, who was born prematurely with an infection. They spent six weeks in intensive care.
However, according to The Sun, she could enter the jungle at the end of this year, with an insider saying show bosses are ‘overjoyed’.
She shocked fans when she announced she would be leaving Strictly in 2022 after seven years as double champion.
Oti won the Glitterball trophy two years in a row alongside Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and comedian Bill Bailey, and many are expecting the South African to score a sensational hat-trick.
But last year, Oti admitted on the All Change podcast that the pressure of dealing with the celebrity contestants and the stress she put herself through became too much and she turned to her husband for support.
She explained: ‘Thankfully my husband is a wonderful person again. He has been through the dark days, the days where I stand in the shower crying with my clothes on, because it is so hard and overwhelming. He has seen that I deal with ‘interesting personalities’.
