Strictly Come Dancing fans want Chris McCausland to win the show, they have said.
Saturday night’s favourite returned to screens this weekend after a major scandal and a shock NTA win on its 20th anniversary.
Although it’s until December, viewers have already called for comedian Chris, 47, to hold the Glitterball Trophy aloft.
The comedian made history as the show’s first blind contestant and fans were thrilled with his performance when it was revealed he would be dancing with Dianne Buswell.
A viewer wrote on X: ‘Give the glitter ball to Chris McCausland NOW.

A third wrote: ‘I don’t know how he’s going to dance but just for his jokes he deserves to go far I don’t know’
The comedian is one of fifteen new celebrities joining the twenty-second season of the long-running series, which is currently under investigation amid allegations of behind-the-scenes misconduct.
But Chris managed to convince viewers on Saturday evening with a joke about TV doctor Punam Krishan.
Showing off her ballroom high heels, Krishnan, who focuses primarily on podiatry, said: ‘Yes, it’s all about the feet these days. So over the years, all I’ve heard about is blisters and blisters getting in the way of dancing.
‘So cream, patches, you name it, I have it and if it all works, I might share it.’
This admission prompted McCausland to remark, “Punam, can I just say that none of us can believe we managed to be in the same room as a family doctor?”
