The pair competed against Nikita Kanda and Gorka Márquez in the dance-off, before the judges decided which couple to save, while the other couple was unfortunately eliminated.
On Saturday’s show, both celebrities finished bottom of the leaderboard, Les with just 15 points for his Samba, while Nikita scored 18 for her Charleston.
While Les and his dance partner Nancy tried to impress the judges and stay in the competition with their Samba to Rock The Boat by Hues Corporation.
Unfortunately for Les, it wasn’t enough as the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas, all voted to save Nikita and Gorka.
Speaking to host Tess Daly about their time on the show and working with Nancy, Les said: ‘I had the best time, this lady was amazing, a great teacher, she really tested me. I did my best for you, I hope!
‘That part up there, I’m going to miss you so much. I really appreciate and understand the judge’s position, thank you very much (to Shirley) for giving me a 10 for entertainment.
‘I hope I had fun, that’s why I came here. Strictly is the best and the people who put this on, you are all just amazing!’
Tess then asked Nancy what teaching Les was like. She said: ‘It’s been a journey. This is such a short but beautiful journey.
‘We all face a lot of challenges, but to see you (against Les) improving yourself every day. I respect you so, so much.
‘I just want to thank the jury and all my fellow friends. Thank you to Strictly Come Dancing for all your support. Thanks Les.”
