While Les and his dance partner Nancy tried to impress the judges and stay in the competition with their Samba to Rock The Boat by Hues Corporation.
Unfortunately for Les, it wasn’t enough as the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas, all voted to save Nikita and Gorka.
Craig said: ‘The couple I would like to save and who I think danced the best and improved the most that night are Nikita and Gorka.’
Motsi agreed: “Both couples danced better in the dance-off. One couple was extremely better in the dance-off. I will save Nikita and Gorka.’
“I thought it was a competition between two couples just on performance and who could really beat their performance. I think the couple who did the best job were Nikita and Gorka,” Anton added.
Shirley agreed, saying that she would have decided to save Nikita and Gorka if they had not already won the majority of votes.
Speaking to host Tess Daly about their time on the show and working with Nancy, Les said: ‘I had the best time, this lady was amazing, a great teacher, she really tested me. I did my best for you, I hope!
‘That part up there, I’m going to miss you so much. I really appreciate and understand the judge’s position, thank you very much (to Shirley) for giving me a 10 for entertainment.
