Capcom has unveiled a gameplay trailer for Street fighter 6‘s next downloadable content (DLC) character, Mai Shiranui.
Sourced from SNKs Fatal rage series, Mai Shiranui will be added to the fighting game roster on February 5, 2025, making her the second guest character to ever Street fighter game.
Mai’s debut trailer offered everything players need to know about the upcoming fighter, including a helpful overview of her moveset and abilities.
A master of ninja trickery and airstrikes, Mae uses her fan as her main weapon. With Kachousen, she can use it as a fireball to attack opponents, as well as with Ryuuenbu, allowing her to spin forward in a fiery blaze for combos or to control space.
Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi allows Mai to charge at her enemies, while her Hishou Ryuuenjin allows her to perform a “dragon thrust”. There is also a diving outfit that allows her to attack enemies from the air.
As for Mai’s Super Art ability, level one allows her to set the immediate surroundings on fire, level two performs Chou Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi, allowing her to dash forward and dodge projectiles, while level three, Shiranui Ryuu: Enbu Ada Zakura, a series of elegant fan strikes.
Mai also gets a secondary outfit inspired by her new look Fatal Fury: City of the Wolveswhich will be released in April and can be purchased with Fighter Coins or by maxing out her bond in World Tour.
Mai Shiranui will automatically become available to Year 2 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass owners when she releases. Alternatively, Mai can be purchased separately with Fighter Coins.
