Stranger Things salary bumps are revealed as the cast prepare to reunite for the fifth and final season of the record-breaking Netflix show
The Stranger Things cast’s salary increases have been revealed, with Millie Bobby-Brown topping the list as the biggest earner.
Netflix’s Stranger Things will return to screens for its fifth and final season with production starting in January, but a release date has yet to be confirmed.
And in January 2023, it was revealed that the star cast would receive huge pay rises for the hit show’s final act, with the cast split by salary levels.
Topping the list as the highest-earning cast member was English actress Millie, 20, who plays Eleven, according to Puck news. Her exact salary is unknown as it is included in her Netflix deal – which also includes her starring role in Enola Holmes.
Winona Ryder, 52, and David Harbor, 48 – who play Joyce Buyers and Jim Hopper – were the joint second-highest paid actors, both reportedly raking in a whopping $9million (£7.1million) for the season.

Winona and David both received around $350,000 (£278,000) per episode that season, which equates to around $2.8 million (£2.2 million) in total.
The series’ younger stars are divided into lower salary tiers with smaller, but still significant, salaries for the final season.
Stranger Things captured the hearts of viewers when it debuted in 2016 and introduced a host of child actors.
Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarrazo as Dustin Henderson and Noah Schnapp as Will Buyers joined Millie as the show’s focus group of friends when it first aired. Sadie Sink joined the group in season two as Maxine “Max” Mayfield.
The group, who are now all in their early 20s, have also reportedly received a higher pay package for filming the fifth season, reportedly taking home $7 million (£5.5 million) each.
The show’s main cast returning for season five is rounded out by the older siblings and their peers: Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington and Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley.
The outlet reported that this group of actors are in the lower salary range and that they will all be paid $6 million (£4.8 million) for filming season five.

The streaming platform shared a photo of the cast and creators Matt and Ross Duffer back together via social media on Monday.
In the black and white photo, Finn Wolfhard – who plays Mike Wheeler – seemingly had a script on his lap as the cast and crew began filming season five.
A red glowing ‘5’ sign could be seen in the background as the cast reunited on set to film the final series of Stranger Things – the release date of which is yet to be confirmed.
Alongside the photo, Netflix wrote in a caption: ‘THIS IS A CODE RED! Production on STRANGER THINGS 5 has officially begun!!!’
But eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed that Sadie Sink – who plays Max Mayfield in the show – was in the photo.
It confirmed her return to the cast after her character’s fate was left up in the air in a cliffhanger at the end of season four.
