Stranger saves 14-year-old girl from terrifying attempted abduction in Hosier Lane, Melbourne
A quick-thinking Good Samaritan has intervened to stop the attempted kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl during a school excursion in Melbourne's CBD.
The incident happened at 10.30am on November 15 in Hosier Lane.
The teenage girl, who was part of a school group exploring the area, was grabbed by an unknown man who tried to drag her across the alley.
A brave bystander promptly intervened and posed as a teacher, successfully helping the girl break free.
The man was accompanied by a woman who the police also want to speak to.
Accompanied by a woman, the alleged perpetrator left the area on foot via Flinders Lane and Russell Street.
He is described as having dark-colored skin and a slim build.
He was wearing black sunglasses, dark-colored long pants, a dark-colored hoodie with a red hood, black shoes with white soles and was carrying a black backpack and a black fanny pack.
The woman is seen as Asian in appearance, with a sturdy build and long black hair.
She wore a purple puffer jacket, a beige/light pink T-shirt, blue jeans, white and fluorescent orange shoes and a blue backpack.
Police released photos of the pair because they wanted to talk to them.
