Strange Way Of Life First Trailer: Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke Go Intimate in Steamy Clip for Upcoming Western Short Film
Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke get intimate in the new Strange Way Of Life trailer.
The upcoming drama film stars The Last Of Us star, 48, and the Dead Poets Society actor, 52, as a cowboy and a sheriff who investigate a mysterious murder in the Wild West.
The duo reunite after more than two decades, navigating their complicated romantic relationship between action-packed scenes.
Written and directed by Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, the short will premiere next month at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
Strange Way Of Life was unveiled as Almodóvar’s 2005 “answer” film Brokeback Mountain – a project he was once allowed to direct and later turned down – and was greenlit last June.

Pascal plays a cowboy named Silva who travels across a desert to Bitter Creek to reunite with Sheriff Jake, who is played by Hawke.
According to the synopsis, the two have not seen each other in 25 years since the last time they worked together as hired shooters.
They have an emotional and “memorable” reunion, but the homecoming purpose isn’t so innocent.
The official synopsis read: “Silva visits him with the excuse of reuniting with his childhood friend, and they do indeed celebrate their meeting.”
But “the next morning, Sheriff Jake tells him that the reason for his trip is not to forget the memory of their old friendship.”
The sheriff had enlisted his old friend and lover to help him solve the murder of a woman in town.
At one point in the trailer, Silva yelled at the sheriff, “You never loved me. You’ve never loved anyone in your life!’
In response, for some reason, Jake pointed a gun at Silva’s face before saying, “Don’t say that.”

After the film premieres next month at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, Strange Way Of Life will be released in theaters in Spain on May 26.
After the festival and the Spanish premiere, the soapy film will be released in the United Kingdom and the United States.
