Strange thing that happened after Aussie woman found out she won $2.5million Lotto prize
A Sydney woman felt like she had 'walked into the light at the end of a tunnel' after winning millions in the Saturday Lotto.
The woman from Burwood, in Sydney's inner west, had one of two winning Division 1 entries in Saturday's Lotto draw 4421 and took home the top prize of $2,527,471.
“Oh my god, I can't talk!” the woman said as a Lott official confirmed her win.
'It's been a tough few years for me and this is going to change everything.
'It really feels like I've come to the end of a long tunnel and walked into the light.
'Oh my God. I'm over the moon. I can't even think of anything. I'm so shocked.'
The woman said the win would be life-changing for her and her family.

“What I do know is that this will allow me to buy my first home, which is going to be great,” she said.
'I help my family and then book a big holiday.
“Thank you, this is going to change my life.”
Her winning entry was purchased from Strathfield Plaza Newsagency in Strathfield Plaza.
Newsagents owner Ramesh Sethurao said his team was happy with their winning customer.
“We are all so excited to hear that someone has won another Division 1 award in our store,” he said.
'Celebrating this milestone will take some time to come and we have told every customer who comes through the door what has happened.
'It's amazing that this win has come just in time for Christmas, so we'd like to wish our winner all the best for the future and that they have a great festive season.'
The woman described the win as life-changing, saying: 'It will help me buy my first house'
The winning numbers in the Saturday Lotto draw 4421 were 22, 42, 10, 23, 21 and 14, while the additional numbers were 11 and 7.
There were two winning entries from division one, one each in Queensland and New South Wales.
The number of Lott's Division 1 winning tickets has reached 379 so far in 2023, including 123 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
