Stormzy will be featured in a new BBC entertainment special in November when he returns to music after a two-year hiatus from the public.
Filmed at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios, the 29-year-old will reflect on his meteoric rise to fame after he quit because he was “overwhelmed.”
Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated new album, This Is What I Mean, he will be candid about his growth, both personally and in the industry, and his success.
Stormzy will be featured in a new BBC entertainment special in November when he returns to music after a two-year hiatus from the public.
The award-winning artist will perform three tracks from the new album in the 45-minute special and will be interviewed by Radio 2 DJ Trevor Nelson.
Trevor said: “I first interviewed Stormzy in 2014 for his Live Lounge debut on 1Xtra and haven’t interviewed him since.
“When I met him he was the hottest new MC in the UK and now he has become a cultural icon. I’m really looking forward to hosting this show and chatting with him again.”
The special will air on BBC One on November 15 at 10:40 PM and will be available on iPlayer thereafter.

In addition to the programme, the BBC will honor the Own It singer on radio shows by broadcasting exclusive content.
Greg James will have the world premiere at the 8:10 AM breakfast show, excluding the single Holy Spirit from Stormzy’s new album.
The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on Radio 2 and 1Xtra Breakfast with Nadia Jae on 1Xtra will feature performances recorded exclusively for the BBC.
At 7pm, Radio 1’s Future Sounds featuring Clara Amfo will feature a never-before-heard interview with Stormzy, plus the five songs performed at Abbey Road.

It comes after Stormzy took a break from public life when he retired from social media and stopped doing interviews in 2020.
The platinum-selling star revealed he felt ‘overwhelmed’ by the pressures of fame and decided to take a two-year break because he felt “super depressed” while trying to become the best performer.
