Stormzy sparks outrage as he hires a monkey to roll a cannabis joint for his new music video

Stormzy reportedly used a monkey to help him prepare a cannabig joint in his new music video.

The 29-year-old Big For Your Boots singer made an unusual choice for his upcoming music video when he was spotted filming with the monkey handling cannabis paraphernalia.

According to The suna concerned label executive revealed that the video’s director intended to show the monkey how to use a “weed grinder” while sitting next to Stormzy.

The cannabis equipment appears in the music video accompanying a new song, with lyrics referring to rolling cigarettes.

In the song – which has yet to be released – the rapper says: ‘I’m the black Kate Bush, the mandem don’t talk, they whoosh. I don’t jump on a tune and talk about shut up.”

Stormzy’s new track will be his first release since his third chart-topping LP This Is What I Mean came out in November.

MailOnline has reached out to Stormzy representatives for comment.

While it may seem like a bold choice to many, it actually comes three years after he inspired people to quit smoking marijuana in a heartfelt speech.

Speaking at Carney’s Community, a South London charity, he said: ‘If you have mental health problems, stop smoking weed. It’s not good for your mental health.’

“I’ve been struggling with mental health issues for the past few years. When I felt depressed I locked myself in and smoked weed and it just got worse and worse and worse.

It doesn’t help your situation. It will trick you. It feels good for 20 minutes, then. . . we all know it, we weed smokers, we know how it goes,” said the rapper – not so long ago.

The Vossi Bop rapper is once again a victim of the spotlight after being caught making an awkward blunder earlier last week.

Stormzy was forced to get help from hotel staff after his flashy £200,000 yellow Lamborghini got stuck between two cars in an awkward blunder.

The rapper was leaving the 2023 Ivor Novello Awards at London’s Grosvenor Hotel when the awkward accident happened.

Stormzy was seen retrieving his keys from a valet and making his way to his very lavish yellow sports car, which was parked very close between two other vehicles.

When he tried to reverse the speed car, it got stuck between a parked car behind him and the vehicle next to him, leaving no room for him to maneuver his Lamborghini.

His luxury car was reportedly stuck for about 15 minutes and hotel staff had to help by moving one of the other vehicles to clear a path for the star to leave.

Stormzy’s flash yellow Lamborghini is estimated to cost between £190,000 and £230,000, but the vehicles can be resold for as much as £260,000.

His latest outing comes after it was reported that Stormzy and his ex-girlfriend Maya Jama are back in regular contact, sparking reconciliation rumors.

The former couple dated for four years before splitting in 2019, with the rapper publicly stating that he “never loved anyone the way I loved her.”

Maya’s team previously dropped relationship speculation after being linked last year, claiming they were just friends at the time, but insiders now claim they enjoyed spending time together at his house.

It comes after Love Island host Maya, 28, was linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, after the two were partying together in London on two separate nights over BAFTA weekend in February.

The actor then hit back at claims he had seen the presenter after they were introduced by mutual friends.
