MailOnline revealed that Maya and Stormzy split after disagreements over when to settle down.
Sources told MailOnline that the couple had a falling out over their lifestyle, with Stormzy being more of a homebody.
Meanwhile, Maya, who is at the top of her game as the face of luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana, ambassador for Rimmel London, and in demand by streaming giant Netflix, is currently focusing on her career.
A source close to the couple revealed: ‘Maya and Stormzy are very much on different pages when it comes to their future.
‘Stormzy was keen to settle down, while Maya is enjoying her career, she is ambitious and wants to prioritize achieving everything she can.

The couple’s statement read: ‘We laughed while writing this because we never, ever in a million years thought we would be the couple announcing a breakup.

“But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to give us the space and grace necessary for both of us to be able to navigate this next part of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to doing.
‘We fell madly in love in 2014, broke up in 2019 and then spent five years maneuvering our lives apart.
“We decided to try it for the last time in August 2023, and we’ve been doing our best over the past year to make it work; however, we recently decided to stop using it.
“We were 21 and 20 when we first met – both early in our careers – and we spent five years growing together and five years growing apart, so this latest effort required a lot of figuring out, relearning and unlearning. We tried, but it didn’t work, and that’s okay.”
