Stormy Daniels regrets breaking silence on alleged affair with Trump, says allies horse attacked

Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who claims she was paid hush money for an affair with Donald Trump, has said she regrets breaking her silence.

Daniels, 44, said on Good Morning Britain this morning: ‘Nobody cares anymore what the truth is. I kept seeing it over and over again.’

She said she came forward “to set an example for my daughter and other young women for her to grow up saying, ‘My mom wasn’t bullied and those in power can’t bully or control you'”.

But she also admitted that threats against her had increased since Trump supporters claimed her fence two weeks ago and attacked her horse Redemption. Having previously spoken out about death threats, she said she would still testify against Trump. She said she was not personally afraid of the president, but of his “sycophants and his followers.”

She told the show’s hosts that she doesn’t feel “defeated” because she “didn’t lose” and “spoke her truth,” but admitted it was “just for naught,” adding “if people don’t face the facts want to see and want to see the truth. … I would have preferred time with my family.’

The interview came after a court decision on Tuesday ruled that the criminal trial would continue on March 25, 2024 — in the middle of the GOP primary.

Donald Trump, 76, appeared virtually in court in Manhattan on Tuesday as a judge scheduled the Stormy Daniels “hush money” trial for March 25, 2024.

The decision means Trump will spend weeks in a courtroom in Manhattan, in the middle of the Republican primary and just months before the presidential election.

Meanwhile, his main rival in the GOP race Ron DeSantis will announce his candidacy for president in a conversation with Elon Musk on Twitter on Wednesday night.

Trump previously urged DeSantis not to run against him in 2024 because he is not doing well in the polls, will divide the Republican party and lose “the cherished and massive” MAGA vote.

The ex-president has also called DeSantis “young” and suggested he could have a brighter political future if he remains governor of Florida until the end of his second term in 2026.

Former President Trump remains the favorite to become the Republican nominee, despite allegations leveled against him in recent months.

Stormy Daniels accused 76-year-old Donald Trump of paying her $130,000 to remain silent after an affair together before his 2016 election victory.

Trump would have booked the transaction as a business expense.

Falsifying records is illegal in New York.

In 2018 she claimed she had sex with the former president and later felt pressured to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Daniels said the non-disclosure agreement she signed regarding the alleged affair was invalid because Trump never personally signed it.

On March 30, 2023, a grand jury in Manhattan finally indicted Trump for his alleged role in the scandal.

Stormy Daniels told Piers Morgan that she was riding her horse Redemption at the time.

“I was sitting astride a horse named Redemption when he was charged. Salvation is his name. I can’t make this up,” she said in an interview shared in April.

She said she received the horse as a birthday present in March.

Trump was arraigned in Manhattan District Court on April 4.

Separately, writer E. Jean Carroll sued the former president for sexual assault and libel.

Earlier this month, a jury ruled and found Trump liable for both abuse and defamation, and ordered Trump to pay $5 million in damages.

Stormy Daniels shared a photo of her horse Redemption on Instagram. She wrote, “Thank you barrettblade777 for the best birthday present ever. Starship Redemption arrived at our house today and I'm already completely in love.'

During the interview, Daniels also denied that Trump had sued her: “He released this sudden new statement from me from 2018, which he put up as an affidavit from me, that I said under oath that the affair never happened and that he was the lawsuit against me.

Trump never charged me. I’ve never met him in court. I sued him. That was a total invention. That wasn’t an affidavit.’

She added: “There are typos in it and it is signed with a fake name.”
