Four officers are injured – two seriously – in a chase with a stolen truck while a police car is rammed

Four officers have been injured and three police cars damaged after a dramatic attempt to stop a runaway, allegedly stolen truck in Queensland.
Officers attempted to intercept the truck at Meringandan, north of Toowoomba, on Wednesday afternoon.
But at around 1:30 p.m., the truck crashed into a police vehicle and attempted to stop it, seriously injuring two officers – one was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital and the other was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Soon after, the truck rammed into two more police cars before finally coming to rest at nearby Kleinton.
Two other police officers suffered minor injuries.
The suspected driver and sole occupant of the lorry was detained by police at the scene.
An investigation is underway and charges are expected to follow overnight.
