Sticky Fingers frontman Dylan Frost to fight allegations he stole a chicken and iced coffee from Woolworths

A controversial Australian rock star will fight allegations he stole a fried chicken from Woolworths and an iced coffee from Sydney’s CBD, a court has been told.

Sticky Fingers frontman Dylan James Frost, 34, was spared from appearing at Downing Center Local Court on Monday after pleading not guilty to a single charge of shoplifting.

Police allege the rocker stole the $6.50 fried chicken and $2.65 Ice Break double espresso coffee from Woolworths Metro in Haymarket shortly after 1pm on June 27.

Frost’s girlfriend, Elyssa Ford, 23, is also alleged to have stolen a Life Savers raspberry stix from the same Woolworths store at the same time.

The couple both entered not-guilty pleas in August, with Mrs. Ford facing a single charge of shoplifting items under $2,000 and possession of a prohibited drug.

Attorney Robert Candelori represented Frost and asked that the case be set for a hearing in July 2025, where the rocker will defend the shoplifting charge.

Frost is the lead singer and guitarist of Sydney indie rock band Sticky Fingers, which went on hiatus in 2016 after allegations were made against him.

Accused of racism, sexism, transphobia and aggressive behavior, he responded to his past antics in an interview with Triple J Hack by stating that ‘boys will be boys’.

In a statement on Instagram at the time, the band said the comments were “in no way intended to show that we are not truly moving toward positive change.”

Frost will appear in court next month.

Sticky Fingers are no strangers to controversy, with Frost often making headlines for his past behavior.

The singer reportedly got into a physical altercation with the band’s bassist, Paddy Cornwall, in 2019, which led to Cornwall being sentenced to 18 months in prison.

In 2018, Frost was thrown out of a pub in Newtown in Sydney’s west after allegedly verbally abusing a transgender woman.

He was accused in 2016 of physically threatening Indigenous singer Thelma Plum.

Frost has opened up about his past struggles with mental health and alcoholism.

He revealed to the media that he was diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia in 2015.
