Steven Gerrard was brutally ridiculed by a rival Saudi Arabian side after his Al-Ettifaq side were comfortably defeated 2-0 on Saturday evening.
The Liverpool legend is under pressure in the Middle East with his team struggling after a fourth defeat in six games during his second season at the club.
Gerrrard has been in charge of Al-Ettifaq for 16 months and is said to earn £15.2 million a year in Dammam, while living across the border in Bahrain.
Al-Ettifaq finished sixth in the 18-team Saudi Pro League last season, but currently sit 11th after nine rounds in the 2024/25 edition.
After the match, Gerrard was booed by a significant portion of the home fanbase, who urged him to ‘go away’ and later suffered further misery when he was taunted by Al-Qadsiah after their convincing win.

The 44-year-old still regrets never winning the Premier League during his glorious years at Liverpool, coming closest to doing so when he captained the Reds in the 2013/14 season.
However, horror struck when on a fateful weekend at Anfield, Gerrard slipped against Chelsea, Demba Ba drove through on goal and the rest, as they say, is history as Liverpool fell out of the title race.
Gerrard himself has since revealed how memories of that terrible day still haunt him and Al-Qadsiah joked at the time as they celebrated their latest victory over Al-Ettifaq on social media.

Al-Ettifaq finished sixth in the 18-team Saudi Pro League last season, but are currently in eleventh place after ten rounds in the 2024/25 edition.
After a recent defeat, Gerrard said: ‘I’ve spoken to the players. If we had performed like this before, we wouldn’t have put ourselves in this embarrassing situation, but I bear the responsibility.
