Steve Harvey personally on Friday set the record straight about the recent rumors about his personal life that many people were talking about on social media.
In a video post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the television host, 66, angrily denounced rumors that his wife Marjorie Bridges, 58, had cheated on him with the couple’s bodyguard and personal chef.
He also apologized for the “unfunny comedic” tweet posted to X, which he explained was posted to his account by an employee.
“🗣️I will be personally working on this,” Harvey wrote on Aug. 25.

Harvey stood outside on the green lawn and in front of a white fence, and in the video he first addressed the rumors surrounding Bridges’s infidelity, then dismissed them altogether.
“I don’t know what you all do but find something else to do because I’m fine… I don’t have time for rumors and gossip,” Harvey said in the video.
The cheating rumors first started on X, formerly known as Twitter, earlier this week and quickly went viral, claiming that Marjorie cheated on Steve with their bodyguard and one of their personal chefs.
The 66-year-old spends the rest of the video, which lasts 56 seconds, apologizing for a since-deleted post on his X account, which asked his followers to name the comedian they didn’t find funny at all. .’
Although the tweet (since deleted) was posted to Harvey’s account, the television host explained that he did not personally write and post it. It was rather an employee of his who wrote the tweet.
Someone works for me on my Twitter and released a statement that was totally negative. I have to take responsibility for them because they work for me. But the engagement talked about “name a comedian you don’t find funny.” Why would I do such a thing?” he said in a video response.
Like several celebrities, Harvey also has people who work specifically for him to manage his social media accounts.
Harvey also stated that he would never post a tweet like the one the staff member posted to the television host’s X account, explaining that it did not fit his brand.
“My whole brand is motivational, and I’m going to flip something like that? …. I’m all for positivity. I would never have done such a thing,” Harvey said.

The 66-year-old closed his video, revealing how angry he was at the whole ordeal regarding the tweet and saying the staff member in question would be fired.
“I’m so mad right now, man,” he continued. “Speaking of, ‘I was trying to get some involvement.’ Okay, okay, you’re trying to get some work too… Now I have to come over here and take a goddamn selfie. So here it is: I’m sorry, man. My mistake, all of you. However, it will not happen again,” said the television presenter.
Steve and Marjorie have been married since 2007. In a 2012 interview with People magazineSteve, who was married twice before, said his third and current wife “changed the way he existed.”
“I’ve never had a healthy adult relationship. I’ve never been loyal, I’ve never been fully respected,” Harvey told People magazine.
