Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon vowed that his MAGA media empire would continue broadcasting even as he prepared to report for a four-month prison sentence on Monday.

He sent a message to DailyMail.com on Friday, shortly after the Supreme Court rejected his bid to delay his sentence for defying a subpoena in the congressional investigation into the Jan. 6 attack.

‘I am a political prisoner. And I won’t be the last until we get rid of the Biden regime’s legal practice,” he said.

β€œThe vile nature of this regime was on display for the world to see in all its glory last night.

β€œTry as they might, they can’t shut down WarRoom. We will achieve victory in November.”

Bannon filed an emergency appeal last week after being ordered to report to jail on July 1.

Two years ago, he was convicted of two counts of contempt of Congress: first, for refusing to testify before a House committee on January 6, and second, for refusing to hand over documents related to efforts to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 election loss.

He argued that he was protected by executive privilege and should be allowed to remain free while he appealed.

But on Friday he was left with no choice when the Supreme Court rejected his latest appeal to remain free while he weighed his legal options.

β€œThe application for release pending appeal filed with the Chief Justice and submitted by him to the court is denied,” the one-line order reads.

Bannon is the second senior Trump official in the White House to be jailed for refusing a congressional subpoena.

Trade adviser Peter Navarro is serving his sentence in Florida.

Both argued that they had approached Congress to defend the Constitution’s separation of powers. However, both judges rejected their arguments. They argued that there was no evidence that Trump had formally invoked executive privilege.

Bannon also said he did not “willfully” violate the law against contempt of court because he followed his attorney’s advice.

‘Mr. Mr. Bannon relied in good faith on his attorney’s advice not to respond to a House Select Committee subpoena until the executive privilege issues were resolved β€” as had already happened three times when Mr. Bannon had agreed to it to testify after President Trump’s counsel asserted executive privilege,” his lawyers wrote.

Bannon remains a prominent voice among Trump advisers and maintains his reach within the conservative movement through his daily WarRoom podcast.

He will serve his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut.

He is still expected to appeal his conviction and House Republicans have indicated they will support him by arguing that January 6 was improperly orchestrated.
