Steve Bannon Gets What Ghislaine Wanted: Check Out the Prison from ‘Orange is the New Black’ Where the Former Trump Adviser Will Spend His Summer Locked Up

When former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon reports to prison Monday after a legal battle, he will enter a low-security federal lockup with a satellite camp and a bakery.

Although Bannon has fought vigorously to stay out of prison — and has appealed to the Supreme Court — the facility where he will begin his four-month sentence is considered desirable for inmates facing federal incarceration.

Ghislaine Maxwell was trying to serve her 20-year prison sentence there when she was convicted of helping Jeffrey Epstein traffic underage girls.

The prison, sometimes called ‘Club Fed’, was partly the inspiration for the Litchfield Prison depicted in the Netflix series ‘Orange is the new black.’

The low-security federal prison has housed several high-profile inmates and is considered a relatively attractive place to serve a sentence

Bannon served as the White House's chief strategist early in Trump's term and, as a conservative podcaster, has become an influential voice in the MAGA movement.

Bannon was found guilty of contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena in the House investigation on January 6.

Podcaster Ian Bick, who was incarcerated there for wire fraud, called the facility “soft.” corrections1 reported.

“When you’re in a camp, it’s not even a real prison,” he said, pointing to the food at the prison commissary and the prison bakery. “Danbury is known as a good place because there aren’t many prisoners,” he added.

Those who have served time include singer Lauryn Hill and Leona Helmsley following her tax fraud conviction.

Bannon was allowed to remain free for two years while he fought his conviction.

Former Trump economic adviser Peter Navarro is serving his own four-month sentence in a Florida prison after being convicted on similar charges.

Bannon is also being sued in New York for his “We Build the Wall” plan and accused of fraud. Bannon has pleaded not guilty.

Bannon has vowed to continue his deployment. “I am a political prisoner. And I will not be the last until we rid ourselves of the lawfare of the Biden regime,” he told DailyMail.com.
