Stephen A. Smith has criticized an OnlyFans model who exposed Anthony Edwards for telling her to have an abortion after cheating on his long-term pregnant girlfriend, saying he smokes the NBA star's privacy has been “invaded” by his secret lover.
On Monday, the host of ESPN's First Take commented on Paige Jordae's revelation of texts sent by Edwards on social media, including one in which he tells her to “get an abortion lol,” just 24 hours after she posted screenshots of her conversation with the T-Wolves stars in her Instagram story.
“Let me say this: Anthony Edwards had to apologize because he is a public figure,” Smith said on his eponymous show. “That said, again…here's the bigger lesson we need to learn…be careful who you deal with! Once again, I'm singing that same old dance: It's none of our business!
“Who Anthony (Edwards) is messing around with, who he's impregnated with… he's dating this woman and she's messed him up. She took text messages and revealed them to the public. I'm starting to wonder what consequences someone could face if their privacy was violated? That's what I'm wondering.'
Edwards tried to put some distance between himself and the text messages, stating that he made the abortion-related comment in the “heat of the moment” and that it “doesn't align with what I believe and who I want to be as a man.”

Jordae also posted a receipt for an incoming $100,000 wire transfer to her Instagram Story, according to multiple reports, as she claims Edwards was trying to pay her off.

We live in a society, ladies and gentlemen, if Anthony (Edwards) wants to have an abortion, that's respectfully his business,” Smith further said of the backlash the 22-year-old security guard is facing. “We have professional choice and we have professional lifers all over the country.”
After realizing he wrongly hired Edwards for Anthony Davis, Smith went so far as to accuse Jordae of “violating her private affairs” with the 2023 All-Star.
“She's a woman, she's free to do whatever she wants with her own body,” Smith said, adding that “this is America. If she's pregnant and wants to have a child, that's her business. If Anthony Edwards doesn't want her to have the child, that's his business.

'When are we going to talk about that? That's all I'm saying. I'm not talking about abortion or keeping the child, I won't go into that. That's his business and it's a public assumption because he commented on it. But come on. Come on everyone.'
On the court, Edwards is averaging 24.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season with the Timberwolves, who have the best record in the Western Conference at 19-5.
They will face the Miami Heat on the road on Monday night.
