Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe had a hilariously heated debate about Russell Wilson on First Take.
The morning after Wilson agreed to join the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year contract, Smith berated Sharpe for his lack of enthusiasm about the signing.
In response, the Hall of Fame tight end compared Wilson to a single woman “on the market.”
“Last year he threw 26 touchdowns, the Steelers threw 25 the last two years,” Smith said. “Shannon, I expect more enthusiasm from you, brother.”
‘Can I give it to you like this? It’s on the market,” Sharpe replied. ‘No matter how nice a girl is. It doesn’t matter how many Birkin bags or Chanel purses she has. If she’s on the market, what does that say?

It was announced on Sunday that Wilson signed a one-year contract to join the Pittsburgh Steelers
“She can be a dime, she can have a mansion, she can drive a Bugatti,” Sharpe listed as Smith stuttered his answer. “If she’s on the market, what does that say about you, Stephen A?”
“That tells me someone didn’t want her. That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t,” Smith exclaimed.
Wilson will join a Steelers team that finished third in the AFC North last season with a 10-7 record. Pittsburgh won their last three regular season games before losing to the Bills in the playoffs.
The veteran quarterback leaves for Pittsburgh after an unsuccessful stint with the Denver Broncos, Sharpe’s former team, led to a split after two seasons.

After Wilson signed a five-year, $242.6 million deal, the Broncos went 11-19 with him as the starting quarterback and failed to see the playoffs in both seasons.
“Russell Wilson was in the market, Stephen A,” Sharpe argued. “If he was what you think he is, that you hoo-ha’d and you want me to wear pom-poms, and make the magic bow, like ‘yay go,’ why would he be in the market?”
The decibels dropped when Smith asked Sharpe if Wilson was a “significant upgrade” for the Steelers. However, Sharpe stuck to his guns by making another analogy.
“Bologna is an upgrade over pot roast, but I don’t want either,” Sharpe said.
