“I think there’s still the assumption that if you get one, you have to give him a brother or sister.” That pressure is a challenge to deal with,” the 30-year-old said.
‘I wasn’t in a position where I could – and I didn’t want to – just blow [babies] out and [fall pregnant] immediately. I didn’t have that desire,” she continued.
“It would have been very, very difficult with what we were trying to do with the company.
‘[KIC] I have been my baby for so long that it sometimes takes precedence over some personal desires.’
Steph said she and her husband Josh, who she married in 2019, had a lot of difficult conversations at the “right time” to try for a second child.
She also took into account the feelings of her business partner Laura Henshaw, with whom she co-hosts the KIC podcast.
“With the first pregnancy, I was a little naive about how this could affect the company or even my relationship with my co-founder,” Steph explains.
“There were so many times during that process where we didn’t have some of those important, honest conversations.”
Steph posted to Instagram earlier this month to share the news.
Steph, who often features her three-year-old son Harvey in her social media posts, announced the news with a series of black and white photos.
The health and fitness influencer recently received backlash from her followers for taking her son Harvey to the gym.
Steph hit back at critics in early September when she came under fire for going to the gym with her toddler son Harvey.
