In the State of Origin series, the New South Wales Blues look to regain the shield from the Queensland Maroons, who have dominated over the past two years.
The Blues are under new management, with Michael Maguire replacing Brad Fittler as coach. This change came after two disappointing years for the Blues, and Maguire quickly made his mark on the team.
Despite this, the Blues face a tough challenge against a strong Queensland side led by coach Billy Slater.
Slater, a former full-back, has instilled a resilient ‘us against everyone’ mentality in his players.
