Starting NFL quarterback in car accident with wife, children and family dog, team reveals
Carolina Panthers starting quarterback Andy Dalton was in a car accident this week with his wife, three children and the family dog in the car, his team announced Tuesday.
The Panthers also stated that no one from the Dalton family was transported to the hospital as a result of the accident.
However, Dalton himself is being examined by team doctors, a Panthers spokesperson added.
Dalton married his wife Jordan in 2011 and the couple have two sons, Nash and Noah, and a daughter, Finley. The name and breed of the family dog are unknown.
Dalton took over as Panthers starter from Bryce Young in Week 3 and hasn’t given up the job despite the team’s one-win record.

Dalton, who turns 37 next week, has been in Carolina since last season after a long career with the Cincinnati Bengals that ended in 2019.
The Panthers have lost six games this season, all by 10 points or more, including Sunday’s 40-7 loss to the Washington Commanders.
Dalton is nearing the end of his NFL career after being drafted in 2011.
There’s more to come.
