Stars step out in style for Stakes Day at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne

The racing season is still in full swing and Australia’s social set couldn’t be happier.

The stars stepped out in style for Stakes Day at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, with a variety of sports names, reality TV participants and influencers enjoying the festivities.

The Bachelorette’s Georgia Love and Instagram model Tess Shanahan both channeled the current “Barbiecore” trend in pink.

Georgia, 34, was hard to miss in a puffy pink dress by fashion and bridal designer Helen Thurley O’Connor.

She wore red heels with straps by Lana Wilkinson to match her fascinator and YSL handbag.

Tess went for a more flirty look in a Barbie pink mini dress with matching long gloves.

She added a white headpiece to match her designer Chanel handbag and sparkly stiletto heels.

Brooke Warne, the daughter of the late cricket legend Shane Warne, went for something different in a little green dress.

She was accompanied by her boyfriend Alex Heath.

Jockey Michelle Payne turned heads at the event in a royal blue custom dress.

The 37-year-old, who rode the winning horse Prince of Penzance at the 2015 Melbourne Cup, looked stunning in Jason Grech’s dress.

She added flair to her ensemble with a blue jeweled harness and a halter belt that also fastened around her waist.

Her matching blue wizard, by Richard Nylon, was the perfect addition to her outfit, while her brown hair was up in a low bun.

Payne is adorned with silver jewelry – including a pinky ring, tennis bracelet and small hoop earrings.

Meanwhile, new single Olivia Molly Rogers made a standout on the track.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 30, looked stunning in a tailored bright orange and blue suit from Eliya the Label.

Her suit jacket hugged her slim waist, while her long, fitted skirt reached her ankles.

Olivia paired her sophisticated ensemble with a blue handbag, garnet earrings and a dainty gold bracelet.

She paired her patent heels with a bright orange headband that kept her dark brown locks smooth from her face.

Olivia’s makeup was bright and summery with lots of blush, brown eyeshadow and minimal eyeliner.

Former Australian Idol star Rob Mills wore a navy blue pinstripe suit and maroon tie.

Once inside, he did some cheeky poses for photographers.

It wasn’t just the women’s show that aired for Stakes Day, with singer and reality star Jack Vidgen turning heads in an oversized powder blue suit.

The Voice star had a face full of makeup, thick brown foundation, reddish eyeshadow and lipstick.

He was carrying a white handbag and a fantastic pair of white high heels.

Stakes Day marks the fourth day of the annual Melbourne Cup Carnival and has the most relaxed dress code of all races.

The last event of the Carnival is unofficially called Family Day, with a number of marquees in the Birdcage closed by invitation only for the last and most relaxing day of the Carnival.
