Set 15 years later, the film sees the hero, now a master, build a new Jedi order.
When announced at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London on Friday, it was revealed that Rey’s story would be directed by Ms. Marvel director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Taking the stage, the filmmaker said, “I’ve always been drawn to the hero’s journey and the fact that the world needs a lot more heroes,” adding that she’s worked with “a mighty Jedi master.” — before revealing Daisy to the public.
The actress gushed, “My heart is pounding, I’m very excited to continue this journey.”
Meanwhile, the other two projects will be directed by James Mangold, fresh off the latest installment of Indiana Jones, and The Mandalorian’s Dave Filoni.
Mangold’s movie is said to go back to the ‘dawn of the Jedi’, and Filoni’s movie follows The Mandalorian and Ahsoka.
During the celebrations in London, Daisy sparkled in a red fitted dress with a big bow on one shoulder and tight around her waist.
She added a pair of nude stilettos to her height and pulled her dark hair up neatly.
She first starred as Rey alongside longtime stars Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in 2015, as well as series new stars John Boyega and Adam Driver.
The trilogy ended in 2019 when Rey visited Luke Skywalker’s abandoned residence to bury Luke’s (Mark Hamill) and Leia’s (Carrie) lightsabers.

Earlier this year, Daisy responded when asked if she would be open to reprising her role the epic space opera franchise.
Together with Emilia Clarke at the Sundance Film Festival, the actresses, who both adapted their characters’ stories into the films, were asked the question.
For Clarke, she didn’t mince words when she fired back with a quick ‘no’, while Ridley had a different answer when she confessed she would definitely consider returning.
Clarke, 36, played the role of Qi’ra, Han Solo’s childhood friend and romantic interest, in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).
When asked, she said with a laugh, “I mean… no,” according to Indie Wire adding, “That would be nice, that would be really nice. I’m having a really bad time on Marvel, but they’re absolutely brilliant.”
Meanwhile in an interview with IMdB, Daisy confessed that she would definitely consider returning to the group: “I mean, I’m open to a call. I am looking for a job!’ she said.
The actress also spoke DeWrap about how she has watched the various Star Wars franchise shows on Disney+ and considers herself a huge fan.
“I haven’t watched them all, but that’s just because of the timing and things like that. But yeah, I mean the work everyone is doing is amazing,” she shared. “I was working with Pedro Pascal and I was like, ‘This is really cool; he’s the Mandalorian.” I still find it all very exciting.’
