Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have released their latest gameplay trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor at Star Wars Celebration 2023 on Sunday, which will showcase even more of young Jedi Cal Kestis’ prowess with a lightsaber, the Force, wallrunning and a speeder bike. If you’ve lasted this long to pique your interest in Respawn’s sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderthis new take on the game might just bring you to the light.
Besides some really nice looking gameplay – Cal do Force-throw a Scout Trooper into a TIE Fighter moving at full speed, after all – we get a peek at Coruscant, where Cal appears to be headed at one point in the story (straight to the Imperial Palace, no less). During Star Wars Celebration, EA confirmed that the former capital of the Republic will be a planet for players to visitthough it won’t be one of the game’s fully open-world spaces.
Elsewhere, in terms of action, we see Cal face a Rancor; going one-on-one against an AT-ST; team up with Bode Akuna and Merrin in battle; slice some droidekas; and scold old BD-1 after some reckless scanning.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on April 28 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
