Star Trek reunion! Sir Patrick Stewart dines with longtime co-stars Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner in LA

Sir Patrick Stewart reunited with his old Star Trek co-star Brent Spiner for dinner in Los Angeles on Monday night.

In addition to the 83-year-old Yorkshireman and the 75-year-old Texan, their other longtime co-star was Jonathan Frakes, who also directs several Star Trek TV series.

Patrick wore a gray flat cap with a dark checked shirt and gray jeans, while Brent opted for a black jacket over a matching sweater and blue jeans.

Brent had a takeaway bag with him after their lively meal.

It’s been 37 years since the talented trio took on the roles of android Lieutenant Commander Data, Commander William T. Riker and Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the CBS series Star Trek: The Next Generation, which aired for seven seasons from 1987 to 1994.

Frakes and Spiner recently got to reprise their Starfleet roles in both the first and third (and final) seasons of Stewart’s Paramount+ spinoff, Star Trek: Picard.

“I’m gently pushing Paramount to let us make a single Picard movie,” the Grammy winner said TIME on September 28.

‘Not a Next Generation film, because we have already made four. This would be an expansion and deepening of the universe as we saw it in Star Trek: Picard. I discussed this with Jonathan, Brent and LeVar [Burton], and they are all wild. Jonathan is my first choice to direct the film.’

On January 4, Patrick revealed that the script was almost complete when it appeared on Josh Horowitz Happy sad confused podcast (which was technically recorded in late November).

“I’m told to expect it in a week or so,” Stewart teased.

‘I’m so excited because it sounds like the kind of project where the experiments I want to do will be essential for this kind of material. It’s good at 83.’

On a personal note, Patrick and his third wife Sunny Ozell celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on September 7.

Stewart is 38 years older than the Nevada-born singer, whom he first met in 2008 when she waited at his table at Franny’s restaurant in Brooklyn.

The American Dad actor fathered two adult children: son Daniel, 57; and daughter Sophie – during his 24-year marriage to Sheila Falconer, which ended in 1990.
