Stanley Turvey on the run after police chase in Katandra West, Victoria
A massive manhunt is underway for an alleged gunman believed to be on the run in New South Wales after a police chase left two officers injured in Victoria.
Stanley Turvey is alleged to have fired a gun as police tried to arrest him at a property in Katandra West, northern Victoria, on Monday afternoon.
He then allegedly chased police before police “lost control” of their car, causing the vehicle to overturn and leaving two officers with minor injuries.
Police continued the manhunt on Tuesday, releasing a photo of Turvey showing the fugitive with a distinctive grenade tattoo on his face.
The photo comes as a series of disturbing posts emerge on social media, including a video showing Turvey holding a dog’s leash to a collar around a man’s neck.

Residents have been warned not to approach him while police believe Turvey could be armed.
Police allege Turvey approached detectives with a gun on Monday when they arrived at a property in Katandra West near Shepparton, in northern Victoria.
Officers dared Turvey to drop his weapon, but he allegedly fired a shot into the air before fleeing the property in a car.
Neighbor Dianne said Turvey was shirtless and screaming as he faced police.
“The entire police force was crouched down with their guns drawn,” she said 9News.
“They kept telling him, ‘Put your gun down and put your hands behind your head.’
“And then he just walked back and said, ‘I’m not going back to fucking jail again.’
Two officers pursued Turvey, but lost control of their vehicle on Creighton Road before it rolled.
The officers were taken to Goulburn Valley Health hospital with minor injuries and have since been released.
Turvey then stopped at a random home Youanmite, where he allegedly forced a man at gunpoint to take him to Finley in NSW.
The man was not injured and he was released when the couple arrived at their location.
According to the Herald Sun, Turvey regularly brags on social media that he is part of a banned motorcycle gang.
In a video shared on Facebook, Turvey can be seen holding a dog leash attached to a collar around a man’s neck.
He is seen holding a knife in the other hand as he shouts orders at the man, who is on his hands and knees, threatening to cut out his tongue.
When the man does not follow Turvey’s commands, he is seen pulling sharply on the leash.

In another video shared on Facebook, Turvey is seen threatening a man and asking him to meet him in Shepparton for a gunfight.
“Anytime you want to try it, come to Shepparton,” the message reads.
“Take whoever you want and whatever little gun you like, because if you don’t pull the trigger and kill me, I’ll kill you very easily.”
Turvey claimed to be part of the Finks OMCG after sharing photos of dead motorcycle gang boss Brent Reker on his Facebook page in February.
“That’s my big brother… Finks MC Australia is my club and my brother is my family,” Turvey wrote.
“I will give my life to support my brother and have a happy death.”
Police suspect Turvey is traveling in an allegedly stolen vehicle white Toyota Hi-Lux Dual Cab Utility with registration 1RA-8AN.
It comes after police responded to reports that a man armed with a gun had attacked a woman and stolen her car in Witt Street, Yarrawonga, just before 10am on Tuesday.
Police have urged anyone with information that could help locate him to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
He is also called upon to report himself at any police station.
