Stanley Cup takes ANOTHER violent turn as Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk sends Jack Eichel to the locker room, but even physical can’t faze Vegas as Florida is beaten 7-2

The Vegas Golden Knights made it clear that the Stanley Cup could be an absolute whitewash as they didn’t beat the Florida Panthers in Ga me 2, but rather dismantled it.

The hosts stormed into a 2-0 series on Monday night with a 7-2 win, cementing their dominance over the ice.

Even more physicality than in Game 1 couldn’t faze them.

A brutal hit from Matthew Tkachuk sent Knights forward Jack Eichel into the locker room.

Eichel left late Monday night in the second period after suffering an apparent right shoulder injury following the Florida Panthers forward’s hard check.

Eichel skated out of his own zone when Tkachuk made a hard shoulder-to-shoulder hit near the line that knocked Eichel onto his back and also sent his helmet flying.

Eichel, who assisted in a goal by Jonathan Marchessault in the first period, got up and immediately skated to the dressing room with a grimace of pain.

The assist was Eichel’s 15th in the 2023 postseason, the highest total by any player. Eichel also has six goals in 19 playoff games this year, having racked up 27 goals and 39 assists in 67 regular season games.

But the Knights didn’t let the loss stop their crusade as they continued to put the Panthers on ice.

More to follow.
