Stan debuts stunning trailer for Great Barrier Reef documentary Revealed: Reefshot ahead of World Environment Day
Stan has released a spectacular trailer for his new full-length documentary Revealed: Reefshot, which premieres June 5 on the streaming giant.
The Stan Original documentary, hosted by environmentalist Andy Riley, gives viewers an up-close look at the fight to save Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
The film focuses on the efforts of ordinary citizens, traditional owners and scientists who adopt new methods to protect the world-famous natural wonder from environmental catastrophe.
Fans can look forward to a first-hand insight into the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and the danger it faces.
The trailer opens with a series of beautiful underwater images of the reef.

Meanwhile, a voiceover reminds viewers, “The Great Barrier Reef…the most beautiful coral reef in the world.
“But it faces more challenges than ever before.”
This is followed by images of vast areas of the reef, devastated by ‘bleaching’, which is caused by environmental stress, including changes in temperature.
The preview also includes breathtaking footage of the “super villain” threatening the GBR, the crown of thorns that can wipe out very large parts of the reef in a short time.
Reefshot focuses on Riley and a large team of individuals known as the Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef who set out to survey 500 reefs that make up the GBR.
The group has taken 75,000 photos so far since 2020 – used to estimate the reef’s ‘health’.
And this documentation is being used to accelerate the conservation of the GBR, using technology and new methods.
“The twin crises of climate change and wildlife loss threaten the health of the reef and ultimately its survival,” Riley said in a statement.
Revealed: Reefshot is all about citizen power, whether on the reef or halfway around the world, to help achieve the scale needed to meet the massive conversational challenges ahead. to go.

Directed by Matt Tomaszewski, Revealed: Reefshot is the latest in Stan’s documentary series, following Amongst Us – Neo Nazi Australia, No Mercy, No Remorse and Trafficked.
