Stamina recipes, elixirs, and food in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomstamina is a very valuable resource and even if your stamina is maxed out on three rings, you may need more.

Energetic food and potions will restore your stamina and replenish your stamina rings to the maximum. durable food and elixirs add extra yellow rings, which disappear once you’ve used everything.

The good news is that if you are an experienced Breath of the Wild player, all of these ingredients and recipes for stamina and elixirs will look familiar since they use the same items.

Below we provide a list of ingredients and recipes for food and drinks that will replenish or even (temporarily) push your stamina above the limit.

Stamina elixir recipes

To create energizing elixirs, you’ll want to throw energetic rhinoceros beetles (found in Great Sky Island and West Necluda) or restless crickets (found in Great Sky Island and Hyrule Field) in a jar containing at least one monster part.

To make sustainable elixirs you want to use tireless frogs (found in Hyrule Field and Zora River) with at least one monster part. Tireless frogs are hard to find, though Beedle also sells them for 100 rupees each at Riverside Stable.

The more stamina critters you use, the more the elixir will add or replenish. Based on our testing, the quality of the sample drop you use has no effect on the potion. Using a red Bokoblin horn and a restless cricket had the same effects as using a blue Bokoblin horn and a restless cricket.

Endurance recipes

To make energizing food, you need to cook stamella mushrooms (found in Lanayru Great Spring and West Necluda), coarse bee honey (found in Hyrule Field and East Necluda), endurance bass (Hyrule Field, West Necluda), or clear eyes scratching (found in Lanayru Westlands and Lanayru Great Spring).

To make sustainable food, you need to do some cooking endura mushrooms (found in North Tabantha Sky Archipelago and North Necluda Sky Archipelago) or endura carrots (found in East Necluda and Hyrule Ridge). Like tireless frogs, these items are harder to find than their stimulating counterparts. At least one endura root can be found through Satori trees (those random cherry blossom-like trees you see around Hyrule). The tree on it Satori Mountain in Hyrule Ridge (west of Sonapan Shrine) there will be three endura carrots, making this a good place to pick up a few.
