A man who provides “Latino Engagement” for Republican governor candidate Kari Lake of Arizona is a convicted felon who once planned to have an FBI informant murdered during a cocaine distribution trial.
Kenneth Ulibarri, who has been working with the Lake campaign in one capacity or another since at least last July, has an extensive criminal history, including attempting a hit-and-run against an FBI informant to prevent him from testifying to a cocaine distribution and money laundering lawsuit.
In a plea deal related to the Justice Department’s 2014 indictment, Ulibarri admitted to telling an undercover FBI informant that he knew a previous contact worked for the FBI and that he and others were arranging to see him. killed for $20,000.
During that meeting, Ulibarri tried to sell the second informant heroin.
He claimed in his agreement that he was not serious about the murder plot. Ulibarri’s brother finally came to his defense, narrate prosecutors did not believe “his brother is smart enough to stage a hit man.”
At Lake’s inaugural campaign “Stand for Freedom” rally in Scottsville, Arizona, last July, Ulibarri spoke onstage about the “liberal policies that are destroying our country.”
He spoke critically of COVID-19 restrictions, critical race theory, and sending American children to colleges from which they “come back purple-haired and gay.”
“This country is going down a dark path and it’s up to us to stand up and put it on the right path,” he said.

Ulibarri told the audience about his dark history as a drug addict turned small business owner and youth advocate. He said Lake “embodies everything that is close to my heart.”
Ulibarri addressed the crowd about his history as a man “addicted to drugs,” “imprisoned” and “totally hopeless.”
Now, however, he said he is “on a mission to help others overcome their addiction.”
However, prior to his commitment to Christianity and America First policy positions, Ulibarri was also involved in a number of other violent crimes.
In addition to cocaine-trial mix-up, hitman and FBI agent, Ulibarri pleaded guilty to charges against an officer of the peace earlier in 2019. the everyday beast.
For much of the last two and a half decades, Ulibarri has been in and out of prison.
Earlier in the 2000s, New Mexico police arrested Ulibarri on a drug warrant. In 2014, he was convicted of drink-driving. And in 2002, he was sentenced to six years behind bars on charges of vehicle theft and criminal damage.
In 1999, Ulibarri beat up another inmate badly enough to send him to hospital while serving time on some of the aforementioned charges.
Data from New Mexico, a state that calls Ulibarri a “liberal cesspool,” indicates he was charged between 2002 and 2013 on a cacophony of criminal activity, including a peace officer’s battery, tampering with evidence, and controlled drug violations.
The charges for that series of criminal conduct were eventually dropped, though it’s unclear why.
For his contract killing in a case of an FBI informant, Ulibarri pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and charges of heroin distribution. He was sentenced to serve time and three years of supervised release.
The Lake campaign did not respond to multiple requests for comment from DailyMail.com.

Kari Lake, a MAGA fighter candidate and avid believer that the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump, has laid the groundwork for her campaign to support law enforcement and the rule of law.
It’s unclear if the campaign was aware of Ulibarri’s extensive criminal history, but his criminal record is fundamentally at odds with her commitment to a legal society.
According to publicly available records, the Lake campaign paid Ulibarri at least $2,000 for his work.
In February, Christina Amestoy, communications adviser to the Democratic Governors Association, said: “At a time when violent crime is on the rise in Arizona, Arizonans deserve a governor who takes actual action to protect communities — not someone whose ‘hard on crime agenda means you’re basically taking action. a convicted felon as one of your best campaign surrogates,” with reference to Ulibarri.
“Kari Lake shows that her pledge to support law enforcement and reduce violent crime is nothing more than an empty political ploy,” she said.
