Stacey Solomon slips into a plunging black swimsuit as she rings in the first pool day of the year at Pickle Cottage

After weeks of bad weather, summer has finally arrived in Britain.

And Stacey Solomon made the most of it by kicking off the first pool day of the year at her home, Pickle Cottage, on Sunday.

The TV presenter, 34, slipped into a plunging black swimsuit, complete with white trim and circular belt.

Finally, she pulled her hair back into a bun and threw an arm in the air as she posed for a mirror selfie.

Stacey wrote: ‘There will be a lifeguard for me for the rest of the day. Time for the first Pickle Cottage pool day of 2024.’

Stacey seemed to be feeling better after giving herself a black eye while trying to build a chicken coop for her new ducklings.

The Loose Women panellist has been busy renovating Pickle Cottage and has recently taken in two ducks, for which she has already built a playpen.

But on Instagram on Tuesday morning, Stacey revealed that after an impulsive late-night decision to build the ducks’ coop in low light, she accidentally gave herself a black eye.

A cut could be seen in the center of Stacey’s left eye, where she had dropped part of the cage on it while building it.

“I thought, ‘If I don’t hang it right now, I won’t hang it until this weekend,’” she said. “And any normal person would say, ‘It’s fine to put it up on the weekend, they’re only going to be in that coop for six weeks,’ but my toxic trait is that if something is in front of me, I have to do it right away. .

‘So I kept building a duck house in literally twilight, half-light and I got to the roof and got to the triangular piece on the roof and dropped it on my eye [laughs].

“Um, why am I like this? So that will be fun at the shoot tomorrow. Tomorrow it will probably be even worse. It’s always worse the next day.’

However, her injury didn’t stop her from expressing her excitement, adding, “But it was worth it.” I’ll show the chicken coop it looks really good.

“I still have to make the base and dig out the pond, but it’s really cool and I’m really excited.”

Stacey wrote: ‘So glad I’ve been cleaning here all week because it’s finally warm!’

Stacey revealed the two new additions to her family on Instagram last week, when she shared a video of two of her children Rex, five, and Rose, two, cuddling the ducks as she asked fans for name ideas.

She wrote: ‘Welcome to Pickle Cottage Little Ones. We are so excited to love you and we hope you enjoy living here and being part of our crazy family. We have no idea yet what to name our new babies, so any suggestions are welcome.

‘Honestly, I’ve wanted to make our garden a home for ducklings for so long, so thank you @luisazissman for giving me the opportunity to raise your young.’

Days later, Stacey gave an update on her journey with ducks, sharing a video of her and Rex building a playpen for them.
