But she said: “I definitely feel like I’m at a pivotal time in my life where Zach is about to leave school and become an adult.

“I think I’m at a point in my life where I realize that I’ve been very busy in his life, and his life is at a very important point, and my second son will reach that point before I know it .

“And then I have these three babies. I don’t want to miss what I may feel like I missed with my older kids.

‘And I want to be there for my older children, who I think need me now more than ever. I’ve struggled with that in my head.’

She continued: ‘Every year I have a team meeting with my agent and everyone on the team to say, “What’s your plan, what are your goals, blah, blah, blah.”

“And when they asked me my five-year goals this year, I thought, ‘I want to be a stay-at-home mom.’

“That’s like my dream, my ultimate dream. I just want to be with my kids.

“I mean, it’s contradictory because I also want to achieve my dreams, my goals and the things that I’m passionate about because if I don’t have that, am I going to feel unfulfilled?

“So what I’m trying to do right now is make sure that whatever I’m working on, I can work from home 90% of the time. And then just do passion projects outside the home, and then try to be more into it.

‘I love being a mother.

‘Once a year I have to sing for my grandmother, she has already booked me. That’s about all I’m going to do with the singing career.

“And then TV also becomes a small circle, provided I’m lucky enough to keep doing it. One minute you have two TV shows that want you, the next minute you don’t have any.”

But Stacey added: ‘As I get older, I have less mom guilt because I actually think I’m phenomenal, I’m a phenomenal mother.

‘I think if you’re a mom who likes to be at work, and I’m the mom who says, “Ooh, I like to play with sand and cr*p at home,” they’re both good moms.

‘In my opinion, I don’t understand why one is better than the other.

“Whatever stage of life I’m in, right now I may be this mom, but if in two years I’ve decided to stay home and never work again, in two years I might feel like I want to go back to work.

‘Does that make me a bad mother? No. It makes me human that my children can see that I am still human, and not just a mother. I am not a mythical being without feelings and without ambition.’

But she thinks the hard work and struggle of her early years as a mother to Zach made him a better person in some ways.

She said: ‘I think I did the best with the first one. They’re all special in different ways, but I dragged Zach along, we were in a situation.

‘And I was like, “You’re going to get through this with me,” and I dragged him through life to make sure we stayed above water.

‘And I think that makes him a completely different person.

“If he ever sees me wrestling, or Joe wrestling, he’s going to dive into it. He’s so helpful and so in tune with what other people are feeling.”
