St Mary’s stabbing: Drew Douglas, mother of four, is found stabbed to death in her home
A man reportedly made a long and rambling phone call to police just hours before his partner was reportedly found stabbed to death in their west Sydney home.
The nature of the call and how police responded to it is now being investigated by the NSW Police Homicide Squad.
Police were alerted to the house in St. Mary’s at around 6:45 am on Wednesday.
Mother-of-four Drew Douglas, who gave birth to her youngest child a month ago, was found with stab wounds to her chest and died at the scene.
Shaun King, 35, who was identified as Mrs Douglas’ partner, was later arrested in Campbelltown.
He had stab wounds to his chest and is currently being questioned by detectives.

Mrs. Douglas’s children were 12, 11, 1 years old and a four-week-old newborn.
A neighbor told Daily Mail Australia the incident was ‘all really shocking’.
“It’s not what you’d expect,” the resident said.
“Drew was a nice lady, but Shaun was just playing Call of Duty a lot. He didn’t really care about anything else.’
The house on Edmondson Avenue remained a crime scene Wednesday afternoon as homicide detectives launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ms. Douglas’ death.
A critical incident team investigates all other circumstances surrounding the incident, which are subject to independent review.
