Spray tan specialist reveals secret behind Donald Trump’s orange glow

A Hollywood spray tan technician famous for working with models and celebrities has shared her theory about the mysterious method behind Donald Trump’s infamous tan.

Suzie Casas, who runs mobile tanning salon Aussie Bronzed Bombshell, told DailyMail.com she believes the former president is getting his tan done in an automatic spray tanning booth, rather than using spray tan technology or a sunless tanning bed.

“Looking around his eyes, I can almost see that he has little spots on his glasses, which makes me believe he could possibly have his own stand, like a VersaSpa [tan machine]she said.

‘He always has color on him whenever we see him in pictures or on TV, so it seems like every time he knows there’s an event coming up he gets a fresh spray, which is what most people do she added.

Suzie also shared her thoughts on the unique orange hue of Trump’s signature glow, admitting she’s not sure exactly what he does to achieve the color.

“Looking around his eyes I can almost see he has little spots on his glasses which makes me believe he could possibly have his own stand,” Suzie told DailyMail.com

“As for the tan, I don’t know exactly what he does, but I would like Mr. Trump to call me and give me the opportunity to tan him because with me he will never look back!” she said.

Although Trump has never confirmed his tanning secrets, a makeup artist who once worked with The Apprentice star also believes he uses an automated tanning bed.

“I know exactly what he’s doing to himself: the tanning bed, the spray tan, he’s wearing the glasses and you can see the hyperpigmentation around his eyes,” Jason Kelly shared. Harper’s Bazaar in 2016.

“What I’m going to do is use a slightly deeper color and blend it into his brown shade so that there isn’t an abrupt contrast,” he added.

In 2018, Omarosa Manigault Newman, Trump’s former political aide and Apprentice co-star, claimed that Trump used a tanning bed almost every morning to ensure he would look good for the day.

However, Trump himself has adamantly denied that he would improve his skin color with spray tans.

This is evident from a statement from a senior government official from the White House to the US government New York Times in 2019, Trump’s tan is all down to “good genes” and the only powder he uses is translucent, instead of a bronzer.

Trump looked strikingly orange on Monday during a campaign stop in Raleigh, North Carolina

While it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what the former reality star did, he looked strikingly orange during a campaign stop in Raleigh, North Carolina on Monday.

According to a viral social media theory, Trump’s bronzer uses “enhancers when he’s stressed.” The theory was spread by photo editor Emily Keegin, who posted a multi-part carousel of photos as evidence that after Trump first started wearing makeup on The Apprentice, his use continued and later escalated.

Trump’s tan has certainly raised eyebrows, but there are two celebrities that tanning specialist Suzie swears have the best bronzed glow.

‘Margot Robbie has always looked beautiful. She looks beautiful. Especially when she was in Barbie, she looked amazing,” Suzie said.

“And if you notice the color of her tan when you look at her, she has these big, beautiful blue eyes, and a good tan always accentuates people’s eyes and makes them pop.oh she looks beautiful.”

The Hollywood-based tanner also mentioned Miley Cyrus, calling the Wrecking Ball singer “a bronzed goddess” when she performed at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

‘Whoever tanned her really paid attention because she looked natural and she just looked amazing. It didn’t look like an orange color. It looked great on her. She looked flawless!’

For the everyday person looking for the perfect golden glow, Suzie (pictured) says it’s important to use an organic spray tan formula rather than a chemical one.

Miley swears by the Dolce Glow D’Oro Gradual Tanning Lotion to stay bronzed, but it’s likely she got a professional spray tan done for the Grammys.

Meanwhile, Margot used Ise of Paradise’s Self-Tanning Water and Self-Tanning Drops on the set of Barbie.

For the everyday person looking for the perfect golden glow, Suzie says it’s important to use an organic spray tan formula rather than a chemical one as these are kinder to the skin and don’t leave an unappetizing odor.

She also advises having a good relationship with your tanning technician to ensure they can create the right shade to suit your skin tone.
