SPOILER ALERT: Woman shares warning about disturbing detail in Margot Robbie-produced thriller Saltburn: ‘It will live in my mind forever’

An Australian influencer has responded to a disturbing scene in the recently released psychological thriller film Saltburn.

Produced by Margot Robbie's production company LuckyChap Entertainment, Saltburn follows Oxford University student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), who is drawn into the aristocratic world of his charming new friend Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi).

Felix invites Oliver to spend a “summer to remember” at his eccentric family's sprawling estate, but things quickly turn bizarre when Oliver becomes obsessed with Felix.

In one stomach-churning scene, Oliver sneaks into the bathroom to perform a vile act after Felix has had a bath, while another scene shows Oliver performing a sex act on Felix's sister A.nnabel (Sadie Soverall) while she is on her period.

After watching the film on Monday, Love Island Australia star Cassidy McGill said it was another scene that really disturbed her.

“Okay, so I watched Saltburn the other day. And when I watched the film and thought about what was most talked about online about the film, (it) was the bathtub scene… closely followed by the historical scene.”

“And while I agree that both scenes are confronting and quite curious to the naked eye, it's damn weird why no one thought to mention the grave scene,” she said.

The 'grave scene' refers to a moment in the film when Oliver is having fun on top of Felix's grave.

“Any kind of warning about what my eyeballs were going to see would have been greatly appreciated,” she continued.

'I have never sat in such a packed cinema and the whole room was so speechless you could hear a pin drop.'

“And when I tell you, this is the true definition of a psychological thriller, because my brain was not only psychologically aroused, but also partially destroyed.”

Despite this, Cassidy described the film as “truly amazing” and noted that she “can't wait to watch it again.”

“Why no one thought to mention the grave scene is fucking weird,” she said on TikTok, referencing a gross moment where Oliver pleasures himself on top of Felix's grave

Meanwhile, Cassidy stated in the caption, “This movie will live in my head for free for the foreseeable future.”

Saltburn is written and directed by Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell.

Emerald previously wrote and directed Promising Young Woman; she won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and was nominated for Best Director and Best Picture.
