Splitgate 2 coming to PC and console for free in 2025

Developer 1047 Games has announced that Split gate 2the sequel to the 2021 first-person shooter Split gatewill be released for free in 2025 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The upcoming game is a 4v4 multiplayer shooter built on Unreal Engine 5 and features “fast-paced portal gunplay with objective-based game modes and striking futuristic maps.” It will also feature a faction system, customizable weapons, and, you guessed it, portals.

The developer said this starts with Split gate 2‘s faction-based multiplayer, and while the team wouldn’t share any details just yet, “there’s a lot of it shown off in our announcement trailer.”
