Spike Lee calls for black men to ‘support our sister to be’ and vote for Kamala Harris in wacky TV chat

Spike Lee told black men in a bizarre TV interview last night to stop drinking Kool Aid and vote for “our sister” Kamala Harris.

The award-winning film director said on MSNBC that his brothers should “wake up” and not “go for the Okie Doke” in next month’s presidential election.

Lee was answering a question about what he would say to people skeptical of the Democratic nominee, just fifteen days before Americans go to the polls.

He said, “It’s sad but true that some of my brothers have been drinking that ‘Kool-Aid’ and I just hope they get to the right place in time for the election.

“If they are aware, if they are aware, there is nothing that this other man can do that will put us, not just black people, but Americans, in a better position for the future.

Lee continued: We need to wake up, you know, and not go for the Okie Doke. The film cannot do that.

“We must support our sister to become the first female president of the United States of America and the first sister.”

He also praised the work President Barrack Obama has done to encourage black voters to support Harris.

Lee has previously expressed his support for the Democratic candidate, posting a photo of Harris covered in emojis in July.

He captioned the social media post: “Once Again A SISTA COMES TO DA RESCUE.”

He is among a number of high-profile stars and celebrities who have supported her candidacy since President Joe Biden left office in the summer.

Barbra Streisand previously told the newspaper New York Times: “I am so grateful to President Biden and so excited to support Kamala Harris.

“She will work to restore women’s reproductive freedom and continue the achievements begun during the Biden-Harris administration.”

Actor Robert De Niro has also said that the most important thing for America is “defeating Donald Trump at the ballot box.”

Donald Trump told WWE legend The Undertaker he has won the respect of one of Hollywood’s biggest wrestling stars after he was shot

He described Biden’s decision to step aside for Harris as an act of “selfless patriotism.”

However, it comes as Trump said he had won the support of one of Hollywood’s biggest stars after fearing “I never thought he liked me.”

Trump appeared on WWE legend The Undertaker’s podcast Monday when he discussed his rocky relationship with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — and how things suddenly changed.

“I never thought he liked me, and I felt bad because I think he’s a great guy,” Trump admitted.

Trump then explained that he received a surprise call from UFC promoter Dana White. White told him that The Rock was impressed by his defiant response after an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania and wanted to talk.

The accolades come amid neck-and-neck polling in the race against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Johnson, who recently admitted regretting his support for President Biden over Trump in 2020, had left the door open this election by remaining silent.
