Members of five of Britain’s most iconic girl bands came together for an epic selfie at a Women’s History Month event, in an Instagram post shared by Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts on Friday.
In what turned out to be a surprising pop crossover, Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Spice Girls’ Mel C, Sugababes’ Keisha Buchanan, All Saints’ Shaznay Lewis and Nicola all featured in the image.
Nicola captioned the post: ‘So this happened… Last night @apple asked me to join @melaniecmusic @leighannepinnock @shaznaylewis & @keishabuchanan, hosted by the fantastic @rebecca_judd, for a panel discussion to celebrate Women’s History Month .
“I’m still processing and pinching myself. When I wake up, my heart feels so full after hearing all our shared experiences as women being part of Britain’s biggest girl bands of the last 30 years.
“There are only so many of us who can relate to each other’s journey, so being four in a room at once and discussing the highs and lows was everything. It was so honest and raw that I felt like I was strangely healed and heard… and inspired.”
