Coleman, 62, added: “I’m a bit speechless. He was a true father to all of us. Thank God we were able to see him one last time and spend some very beautiful moments with him. He was a great man. I really, truly believe that. He will be missed.”

Milligan starred in Land of the Lost from 1974 to 1975, but left after the second season due to a dispute over the show’s merchandising profits and royalties – with the producers.

In a 2009 interview with the Associated Press, Milligan said of the drama: “We had a disagreement, let’s put it this way, about using my face for things and paying for packed lunches, compasses, where they sold them and I found It is only fair that everyone should get their fair share.’
