Spencer Matthews COMPLETES epic charity challenge: Star runs 30 desert marathons in 30 consecutive days and shares celebratory snaps with his wife Vogue and their three kids

Spencer Matthews has completed his epic charity desert challenge by running 30 marathons in 30 consecutive days.

The 36-year-old presenter shared a post from the remote location on Tuesday, celebrating the incredible milestone and setting a Guinness World Record.

At the finish he was joined by his wife Vogue William and their three children; Theodore, five, Gigi, three and Otto, two. They flew to the Jordanian desert to see him finish.

He wrote on Instagram: ‘I DID IT!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!! 30 DESERT MARATHONS IN 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS… ALL ON SAND.

‘I am now a Guinness World Records-holding endurance athlete – the first and only person to successfully run so many consecutive marathons in these extreme conditions. Just over 42.2 km or 26.2 miles, every day.

‘That’s 1,274.02 km over one of the toughest terrains in the world, without any form of recovery.

‘I did this to raise awareness and money for the amazing work @globals_make_some_noise does supporting small charities across the UK, so that no one has to face life’s toughest challenges alone. (For more detailed information about the causes and specific examples of how your donations can help, see my most recent pinned post.)

‘So far we’ve raised a staggering Β£342,508 but as far as I’m concerned we’ve only just begun… Please consider donating now if you haven’t already via the link in my bio.

‘All donations will go directly to Global’s Make Some Noise. Absolutely nothing has gone to me, my team or the logistics of the challenge and none will.

‘A huge thank you to my incredible support team without whom this would have been impossible. Your professionalism and constant prevention of problems before they became serious allowed me to achieve this goal. A truly unforgettable journey. What a month! What a feeling!’

Spencer ran 30 desert marathons in 30 days in the Jordan desert, eating boiled goat head and losing 20 pounds.

Vogue shared some fun snaps from their trip via Instagram Stories on Tuesday.

In one photo, the DJ got more than she bargained for when she posed next to a camel.

The camel decides to hug her face, causing Vogue to step back in surprise.

She joked, β€œHe really had a crush on me.”

Vogue also shared a clip of herself running across the rugged terrain and admired her husband’s strength in taking on such a huge challenge.

So far Β£259,000 has been donated to charity, but the marathons have not been without their challenges.

Spencer has run in daily temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius. He runs at 3:30 a.m. local time so he can regulate the temperature of his runs. However, during the day the average daily high is 38 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperature ever recorded being 44 degrees Celsius.

He started late at Marathon 28, a 17-kilometer running race in temperatures of 37 degrees.

On Monday he completed his 29th marathon in four hours and 28 minutes – one of his fastest times to date.

Spencer told the Mail that when he’s done he hopes to make running accessible to all children.

“I dream all the time, especially here. Sometimes I daydream for two hours while I’m running,” he said.

‘It’s too early to talk about it, but I would love to see running become accessible to all children in the UK.

‘Anyway, I haven’t really thought about it yet, but I’ll probably think about it when I get back: how can we make running more accessible to young people?’

Spencer said he thought about his wife, Vogue Williams, “the whole time” while running and that Taylor Swift also helped him through it.

He said, “I think about Vogue all the time when I’m running, but I think about her when I’m running. We also listen to some great music. We’re Swifties too, by the way. I think Taylor Swift is probably our favorite.

‘I can’t wait to see my family – Vogue and the kids are coming tomorrow – I can’t wait for that – I think I’m going to withdraw from seeing them. I’m really looking forward to it.’

Meanwhile, just before Vogue greeted him at the finish line, she said: ‘I think it’s amazing how well Spenno has done.

‘We are all so proud of him – and T keeps telling everyone he meets that his dad is going to run 30 marathons in 30 days.

‘The most important thing is the amount of money Spenno raises. Global’s Make Some Noise is doing a fantastic job and the money will go a long way.’

With the run, the former Made In Chelsea star is also raising money for the charity Global’s Make Some Noise.

Global’s Make Some Noise aims to change lives across the UK by helping people cope with bereavement, mental health, illness and more, so that no one has to face life’s toughest challenges alone.
